Located in Halifax, Melville Gardens is a 91 unit facility, with 60 beds licensed as Level 1 Residential Care and 31 beds as Level 2 Nursing care.

Our Community

Constructed in 1991, Melville Gardens is located on the Melville Ridge Retirement Campus and offers both residential care and nursing care.

The residential care units in Melville Gardens are an ideal place to live for someone who wishes to maintain as much of their independence as possible, but may require some supervision or assistance to perform their activities of daily living. Those who live in the Level 2 Nursing section of Melville Gardens require full-time assistance and supervision when performing their daily activities.

Residents of Melville Gardens are engaged and involved with their neighbors as they take part in the daily activities of the recreation program. For their convenience there is also a hair salon, library and faith services offered in the facility. Healthy meals and snacks are all prepared under the direction of our nutritionist and are enjoyed in the beautifully decorated dining area.
